Sillagio privacy policy
Last updated 8 October 2026
Sillagio is an iPhone and iPad app for ranking and organising your fragrance collection. It is made by Sillagio Studio, an independent developer. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
The short version
Sillagio does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no adverts and no tracking. Everything you add stays on your devices and in your own iCloud account, where only you can see it.
What you add to the app
Your fragrances, photos, notes, scores, prices, lists, wishlists, shops, trips, compliments and wear diary are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, Apple syncs them between your devices through your private iCloud database. The developer has no access to that database. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Deleting the app removes the data on that device. To remove the copy in iCloud as well, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Storage (Manage Account Storage), and delete Sillagio's data.
Location
If you allow it, Sillagio uses your approximate location to check the weather when suggesting what to wear. The location is sent to Apple's WeatherKit service to get the forecast. It is not stored or shared with anyone else. You can turn location access off at any time in Settings → Sillagio, and the suggestions still work without it.
Camera and photos
The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to photograph a bottle, pick a photo, or save a share card. Photos stay with your fragrance records on your device and in your iCloud.
Services the app contacts
To provide some features, Sillagio connects to other services. They receive only what's needed for the request, and their own privacy policies apply:
- Apple: iCloud sync, WeatherKit, Apple Maps searches for shops and airports, and App Store purchases.
- DuckDuckGo: when you tap Find a Photo Online, the fragrance's brand and name are sent as an image search.
- Fragrantica: when you open a fragrance on Fragrantica, its website loads inside the app as it would in Safari, including its own adverts and cookies.
- News publishers: the Fragrance News section downloads public news feeds from the publishers listed in the app. Articles open on the publisher's website.
Purchases
Memberships are bought and managed through the App Store. Sillagio learns only whether you have an active membership and when you first downloaded the app. Apple handles all payment details.
Children
Sillagio isn't directed at children, and it doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
